We save 88 trees
for every ton of Eco-Uling sold.
Our old factory in 2015 made out of light materials.
We are a livelihood project turned social enterprise on a mission to end poverty, save the environment, and empower our communities, one Eco-Uling at a time.
Eco-Uling by Project Lily Inc. was conceived in 2015 as a livelihood project (called Project Lily PH) for women and out-of-school youth making bags out of the invasive plant, water hyacinth (or locally called as “water lily” in the Philippines). We then transitioned into a social enterprise making an eco-friendly charcoal briquette made from water lily and coconut waste. And after five years of research and development, Eco-Uling is now made from coconut waste.
Partnership with Brgy. Talipapa of Quezon City
We recover their coconut waste in exchange of Eco-Ulling.
We work hand in hand with local government units in recovering coconut waste.
Coconut waste poses a significant challenge for local government units (LGUs) as it’s not allowed in landfills and can quickly become a major waste management problem. These wastes often clog sewage systems and floodways, increasing the risk of severe flooding, especially during the rainy season.
At Eco-Uling, we collaborate closely with LGUs to recover coconut waste, transforming it into eco-friendly charcoal.
Our Social and Environmental Impact
Let’s ignite a sustainable future together.
